It’s a quite fun that a small story lies behind almost any our of remixes. Unofficial remixing is a quite weird process. You need a quite reason to start thinking about the remixing. You need a quite knowledge to get samples out of the original. You need a quite courage to call the result “remix of Prodigy track”. People scales the remix with an unit of the original track. You can avoid the comparison. But not much of people actually realize that unofficial remixing is not just story about another looser being fly with samples for the moment of his life. Unofficial remixing is not about a cheap fame either. There a lot of official Prodigy remixes which are crap, people just collect them. So, even “official” word doesn’t do the fame. Have you ever thought why there are only few TSD remixes has been released since 2000? Do you think that because I’m a lazy dude? Maybe. But why the fuck then I started this whole Prodigy remixing back in 1997? Unofficial remixing is a natural energy flow. The energy flow which doesn’t care about hard_to_extract_samples, the energy flow which doen’t care what’s your native language, what’s problems you got to fight with. I’m a quite blabbing person, but I hope you got the idea and there is no need to mention what those funky unofficial mixes cost me. It’s sad Liam Howlett doesn’t actually know how important his sober head in his studio. It’s not about champagne to me. Today the Prodigy are going to play in Ekaterinburg (Russia), that’s another gig I won’t see, that’s another gig I don’t want to see. Why? Because I’m not Prodigy consumer. AONO is an unfinished result of collaborations with less talent persons. I don’t need gigs that full of old tracks, I don’t need your pictures in magazines, I don’t need your autograph, I don’t need your “competitions” and “prizes”, I don’t need your websites and 64kbps mp3 files on it, I don’t need your funky quotes, I don’t need your new haircut, I don’t need your “it’s up to the record label”. Throw your fucking champagne out and stop the touring around.

There was a time when I could do Prodigy remixes by the wish. Narayan remix is another happy birthday wish for my first internet friend Jussi Lahtinen aka JuGez. His is the most nice person I’ve ever met. One of few who has offered any help with the TSD music hosting and the general support. Now he seems to be busy with his new job and private life, but that’s ok to me, I just hope to shake your hand one day.

mr. Liam Howlett, there is another Prodigy remix you have never heard of - Narayan (Red Square Echo).
