Your BGAT release was a mistake, but your BGAT DUB mix was just a piece of shit on my face. I don’t know how actually talented I am, the olny thing I’ve earned with my music/remixes is bronchial asthma and years of disappointment, I guess it’s justly, I don’t give a fuck. Just listen that. There is a bunch of asslickers around you, they don’t care what to sell under “Prodigy” brand. And there are thousands people behind your equipment and hands. My hands is a half of your hands. When you drink your champagne I discover hangover. When you tour with old tracks I feel that I’ve lost years for nothing. I was never happy with my software and hardware config since I got PC. In 2003 I got new software and I could not wait to test it, so, I reworked Carmen Queasy remix just to feel the difference.
I’m not sure what version Maxim has heard, but he said he liked the mix and that’s quite enough for me. He also promised to do a remix contest for a place on his new single, but I bet it’s gonna take another ages, so, unfortunaly I don’t give a damn about the contest. There was no a proper contest organized by Prodigy. All of them were pure shit, both – the conditions and the prize. So, Liam and Maxim, I won’t do any remix for a shit, I’d rather do it for free, sorry.

My other early Poison variation. Actually, none of the early mixes have no name, I never thought about publishing them before. So, I give the names according to the samples used. This “voodoo” mix uses main lead synth from Voodoo People. Damn, I feel a surge of pride that my hardware was pure pain comparing to Liam’s Roland W-30…hehe

So, it’s spring 2001 and I’m 19. I decided to remix Maxim’s song Carmen Queasy which was released one year ago (2000). The problem was that I wanted to use the vocal but I had no idea where I could find the acapella. Then I realized that I can get the vocal just by downmixing the original and the instrumental version of the song. I was sitting in #prodigy ircnet chat when Neko gave me an advise to use Napster (it was free p2p network these days) to download the instrumental version, so I did. Of course having of mp3 versions is not enough to get a proper vocal in the case, but I didn’t give a damn about quality and made the remix with things i had. The things I had were Penitum 3 – 500Mhz, FastTracker 2.09 and Generator (Reaktor). Also I’ve re-used some samples from Poison and Crystal Method for drums. It was my fist remix that reached my hardware and software top of the time.

Poison Fuck’s Sake

Another early Poison mix. The mix has been inspired by the Poison’s intro (which appeared in the MFJG version of the track). This one of the mixes where I’ve used Liam’s voice as another sample. First version of Rock’n'roll has Liam’s “rhymes” which I took from one of first Liam’s video interview that was hosted by Neko ages ago at her old website. This is pretty funny Liam’s speech was very rhythmical these days, it was damn obvious to me. I just took the sound channel of the video and put it over the Rock’n'roll mix, I didn’t any time stretch or cut/paste, it just fit the track like Liam rhymed it out specially for the mix. It’s a quite magic, but the lyrics were Liam’s description of his music. Later I removed the sample from the remix to make it more “popular”, I didn’t want to make public think it’s a joke or fun, it was my personal art move. Hell knows why I put so much of sense into my work. Anyway, this Poison mix also use Liam’s voice a bit, but not really much, I had 64k limit per sample on the hardware.

TSD mixes gone LP

Funny to know, but that seems to be a truth – Japanese label sells Funky Shit and other unofficial remixes. I doubt they are ready to pay any fees to the remixers or Prodigy, but actually my Funky Shit remix is not the mix I would like to get any fees for. Of course there is my One Man Army remix on the vinyl as well, but it’s just another reason to keep Japanese guys out of Kuril Islands But anyway, I don’t care about any fees or races, it’s just funny know that the music can go that far, from a stuffy and dusty room located among Siberia to the vinyl disc made in Japan. Feel the power of “The Prodigy” brand! Lol.

So, the mix – Funky Shit. I believe this version is far better than on the LP.
