Did I miss anything?

Let me see….  New interviews? New website? New sub label announce?  New tracks announce? Hell yeah…

But seriously, I’m not that much impressed. New interviews (Q Magazine, Self tilted)? Well, yeah, Liam & Co finally published some honest things. But still anything that we didn’t know.

New website? Yeah, that’s a quite best that happened for a long time I can remember. The new Prodigy site doesn’t have a great design or ideas behind, but hey, it does contain some text information now! It’s a really big progress for the band. Of course, I don’t count on  Liam’s going to post something interesting in his blog, but now he’s got the ability to see fans response at least.

New sub label ("Take me to the hospital")? Yeay, mama, take me to the hospital! This is next one good news. The band realized they are not alone in the breaks. I know a bunch of artists who makes damn rocking stuff, and at the same time they have to wander all the way searching a label to be heard by fans who wonder where the hell quality breaks music gone. I’m not really sure the new label is going to be something really useful, but hell knows, maybe Liam would find a couple of pounds to buy a couple of samples…

New tracks? Well, as a second class human being I have to wait some downloads available. I’m not sure the band is going to upload proper versions, I’d rather expect something like 50 seconds of 64 kbps mono mp3 files. So, I really hope some one bring some nice recording device to the shows.

By the way… I’ve been surfing around the net and found the Second Division at the last.fm page, I was really surprised some people do listen to my stuff :) There are 28 listeners at the moment, but hey, I didn’t upload anything to the last.fm yet. From this moment and further on I’m going to use last.fm for releasing TSD music as well.

Baby’s Got A Temper video remix

RemediVTEC has made a quite neat video compilation of The Dark Knight Prologue and my BGAT remix as soundtrack. I should admit the video quite fit the sound. When I was doing the remix my fist goal was building the *wall of noise* Liam Howlett mentioned originally describing BGAT. I was pretty angry Liam dare to put such crap like “DUB mix” to the BGAT single. And I still don’t understand Liam for such releases, what’s the fun to release such shit out? Remember the Audio Bully’s Out Of Space? Remember the Shadow soundtrack? Remember the Memphis Bell’s? There is enough of shit around, thanks for the contribution, Liam.

Baby’s Got A Temper (TSD mix) vs The Dark Knight

Where is THAT Liam?

No shit guys, where is that Liam?

This is quite cool to see the old video, where Liam is young, rave is still alive, Liam’s bedroom is full of stuff except the bed. My bedroom looks quite close to Liam’s one. I don’t have W30, but I’ve got some stuff like old soviet Ritm-2 analogue synth which mostly is a copy of Moog Prodigy. I do remember myself when I was 19. Liam did Charly in his 19, I did Carmen Queasy remix in my 19. I hadn’t got millions of $ since then, but maybe it’s for the best, whacha think?

P.S. RapidShare version of the video.

P.P.S. one more track from the Siberian Plague album is uploaded - Wanna Do It Now.

Charly (DJ Zinc remix)

Hey.

I just downloaded a decent quality version (originally encoded at 96kbps, not the myspace steam rip) of the Charly (Zinc remix) which has been posted at the Prodigy myspace. Honestly, I’m not impressed with the mix. For some reason it sounds quite boring to me. It does include some interesting fx’s, it’s speeded up, it does include *funky* bass line, but kill me, it’s boring. I’d say the mix has totally ruined original Charly energy. I’m not familiar with the way Liam choose official remixes, but it seems it’s related to dice throwing somehow. Which is no surprise, unfortunately. Official remixing seems to be a totally opposite approach to unofficial remixing in my case. You know, it’s quite funny to be *unconnected* to the official side. In the official side everything works, something less, something works as hell. Whereas being non-official remixer and Russian resident makes a monster of you, the only thing that works is your imagination. Your talent, your tools, your music, your success is just your own imagination. Too bad I can’t feed my body with the imagination, it just won’t work.. In the unofficial side..

P.S. Liam, I’ve bought a second hand Terratec 24/96 sound card for $73, shipping costed me $40, have a damn champagne! Cheers, yo bitches!

New Prodigy album news and born-hard track Guns (Shoot down)

Somebody very similar to Liam Howlett posted recently a message at MySpace Prodigy page:

Aloha people- welcome to our new myspace. We have been cracking on in the studio for most of this year with the new album as well ripping a few shows around Europe. We are now in the mid to last stages of recording. Sounding big and mean. A couple of interesting collaborations both musically and vocally. We cant wait to play these new tunes live. stil aint got an album title. this one should have been called ‘always outnumbered never outgunned’

2008 we are back to attack!. we will try not to be lazy with keeping you updated………..aaaaarrrgh!

Basically, it’s a big surprise when we get something more than “it will be next year”, and Liam has thrown another bone to keep fans alive. I must admit Prodigy has lost a big part of the fan base for the last few years. AONO was a pure disappointment to me, but right now I’m the only one around who still read these lame messages about bombs, next years and rocks. All of my friends got over with even listening the Prodigy music years ago. The only good thing is that Liam was in the studio this year. Everything else is just a fuck. Thanks God, Liam didn’t mention champagne this time.

I got angry years ago. I’ve never seen Prodigy live, I ruin 90% of my shitty profits for a new equipment that make possible Prodigy remixing with decent quality level (you’ll be surprised about Japan>Siberia shipping price ). The only thing I want to see is the Prodigy music. There is a lot of questions about Liam makes me wonder. I wonder why Liam has quit remixing. I wonder why Liam uses his Mac instead hardware. I wonder why Liam don’t release well-known rocking Live tunes. I wonder why Liam throws promises with no any thought to keep it. I wonder why Liam makes years_with_no_release possible. I wonder why Liam use the same track-list for years. Generally, I wonder why Liam is so negative.. It’s more and more looks like the only thing that make Liam move is money. I never lick asses, so, I’m sorry If I was honest.

Next news… Radio 1 has played early version of Shoot Down track - Guns. Basically, it’s a deep mod of Trigger, well-known never released track. It’s a quite weird that Liam changed Trigger so much to put lyrics into the track. Trigger was one of the most proper Live track with *classic Prodigy sound*. Yes, Trigger had pretty FOTL sound, but it’s not a reason to make “Guns” of it. For some strange reason Liam didn’t trust to own *Prodigy* nature and decided to find *new* for the AONO album. I still wonder why Liam tries to put some *new* and *bomb* sound with his left cerebral hemisphere every new album after FOTL. Prodigy music used to be quite different, with *out of time* sounding. Liam, quit the bomb syndrome, trust your imagination and talent, everything else will work as it should.

Thanks Zumo and Oasis forum we’ve got the Guns.Mp3.
